For design and build company Greenland Homes, the show home at Falconés Landing in Rolleston offers potential homeowners a tantalising taste of the calibre

A walk-through of the Greenland Homes’ show home at Falcon’s Landing in Rolleston reveals a shining example of the company’s focus on quality craftsmanship. This elegant home boasts a myriad of design features and small touches that reflect the care and attention that goes into every one of Greenland’s projects.

Offering home and land packages plus a design and build service, the Greenland Homes’ team pride themselves on providing flexible options to suit their clients’ needs, and believe it’s crucial to be clear from the outset which features are included. “With the show home, we wanted to demonstrate the standard of home our customers can expect. With some other build companies, what’s in the show home often doesn’t come as standard, and the upgrades can be costly,” says Cheryl, senior design consultant at Greenland Homes.

SCULLERY Many families are opting for a separate cooking area, hidden away in the scullery.

KITCHEN The designer kitchen features Quick-Step laminate flooring and an engineered stone benchtop.

In the show home on Falcon’s Road, a refreshing sense of space and light is achieved by the 2.55-metre ceiling height rising to 2.75 metre boxed features in the living and lounge, plus an expanse of floor-to-ceiling glazing connecting the home to the outdoors. The over height 2.2-metre grooved interior doors add to the feeling of spaciousness.

At the heart of the home and situated to capture the sun from both the north and south, is the sleek designer kitchen featuring quality Bosch appliances and a beautifully engineered stone benchtop. In addition to the wall ovens and induction hob, the design encompasses a secondary cooking area inside the scullery which includes a 75-centimetre gas hob and Robam range hood. This option is not included as standard but is becoming increasingly popular with families who desire the extra cooking space.

Creating an attractive outlook from the kitchen bench and a seamless flow to the outdoors, sliding doors from the kitchen, living and master bedroom open out to the superbly sheltered timber deck which is protected from the elements by the smart design of the house wrapping around the outdoor living.

LIVING The adjoining living spaces create separate relaxation zones with a sense of connectedness.

Throughout the home, a tasteful palette introduces soft pastels and neutrals complemented by solution died nylon carpeting, designer tiles, and Quickstep timber laminate flooring in the kitchen. Subtle design elements capture a more traditional feel, adding character with the combination of a 75-millimetre Gib cove, Softline corners, and boxed ceiling features.

Each of the four generous bedrooms includes built-in wardrobes with shelving installed for easy and tidy storage, and the large master bedroom enjoys a fully-tiled ensuite bathroom. The beautifully appointed family-style main bathroom includes a tiled shower plus a contemporary freestanding bath and VCBC wall-hung vanity. Continuous hot water is assured by the Rinnai gas water heater with touchpad temperature control.

The interconnected lounge and living rooms offer a choice of spaces to relax and unwind, each blessed with garden views. The standard package includes two Mitsubishi heat pumps however the show room is fitted with Fujitsu ducted central heating. The focal point of the living room is the low emission wood burner, adding an ambience to the cosy space.

Ensuring families enjoy the modern comforts and peace of mind provided by the latest technology, each home is equipped with smart home wiring controlled by touch panels plus the superbly convenient Schlage keyless entry system. Security and safety are taken care of by a full alarm system combined with hardwired smoke detectors.

OUTDOOR LIVING The large timber deck creates a sheltered outdoor living zone perfect for entertaining guests or enjoying an alfresco meal.

Adding ease of living and convenience for busy families, an insulated double garage with internal access and a sectional door is included, as is a separate laundry with built-in joinery and an engineered stone benchtop.
