When Amy Odering and Darren McGuire saw a gap in the tile industry, they jumped at the opportunity to provide a tailored, stress-free experience for homeowners and builders. That was three years ago and today, MO Tiles has a reputation second to none.
Bringing 19 years’ experience as a tiler, Darren previously had his own business providing builders and private customers with a design and installation service. Those customers have remained loyal to him through his MO Tiles journey.
Amy Odering, his partner in business and in life, joined Darren on the adventure of launching Mo Tiles. Amy has a background in business management and a strong knack for design. Between them they have built a brand and customer experience that keeps customers coming back.
Mo Tiles handpicks every range they display, showcasing a selection of elegant, beautiful and unique tiles in their Barrington showroom. On the rare occasion they don’t have a specific product, they will go above and beyond to locate it for their clients. Their service aims to take customers from concept design to installation, and to provide a seamless experience.
Mo Tiles has worked on some of Christchurch’s more exciting projects, one of which is about to be showcased on Grand Designs New Zealand. If you like heritage — think The Tannery floor — then this house will blow you away. Mo Tiles has also been the tiler for two award-winning architectural builds at House of the Year Awards and their work in prestigious Christchurch homes has featured in Abode magazine many times.
