When Klaus and Annett Todt emigrated from Germany to New Zealand, they brought with them their admiration for beautiful materials and business acumen. The newest addition to Living Design’s range of products is Aqvato. This innovative range of bathroom basins is made of sand, by German manufacturer Sandhelden, using 3D printing technology. This allows the creation of sizes, shapes and patterns that are not possible with other conventional production methods.
Quartz sand is a natural material, unique in its texture. It is obtained exclusively from regional sources in Germany to ensure increased sustainability. Aqvato basins have a rough exterior texture that’s a reminder
of the natural origin of the material (and a smooth, easy-to-clean interior). Even better, they are available in a wide array of colours, or you can customise your own.
